StreetHeart Project Awards -Round Two Funding OPEN!

As we move into November, StreetHeart extends gratitude to our Neighbors who creatively utilized the first round of StreetHeart Project Awards for some incredible neighborhood improvements that all neighbors can enjoy. The first round of SPAs created visible improvements and helped increase neighborhood safety while providing access to healthy activities within the StreetHeart neighborhood.

StreetHeart Project Awards (SPA) create wonderful examples of the positive changes that can occur when neighbors work together. It begins with one creative idea. Joanna and her daughter noticed that the neighborhood was very dark while walking home from downtown. They wanted to do something about this, so they applied for a $300 SPA to purchase a pair of solar lights for each neighbor on their face block to help “Light up the Street” together.

StreetHeart Project Award Applications are now open for a second round of funding. Now is the time to submit an application for your idea of a neighborhood improvement project! The StreetHeart team will host virtual SPA sessions on Zoom Wednesday November 17th with two options: Noon or 6:00 pm We’ll help neighbors complete applications, and answer questions regarding this process. Applications for this round of SPAs are due Wednesday, December 8th by 6pm, and Awards will be announced on December 22, 2021.
