The Eaton County Food Locker Advisory Committee is a collaborative group of community partners dedicated to strengthening food access across Eaton County. The committee brings together food pantry leaders, nonprofit organizations, public health representatives, funders, and community stakeholders to support a coordinated, equitable, and responsive food assistance system.
The Advisory Committee serves as a strategic body that:
- Provides guidance and oversight for the Eaton County Food Locker Network
- Identifies emerging food access needs and service gaps
- Supports shared standards and best practices across food lockers
- Encourages collaboration, resource-sharing, and collective problem-solving
- Advises on funding priorities, sustainability efforts, and system improvements
Grounded in a commitment to dignity and equity, the committee works to ensure residents experiencing food insecurity have reliable access to nutritious food in welcoming, community-centered spaces. By fostering communication and partnership across the network, the Advisory Committee helps create a stronger, more resilient local food system that meets residents where they are.
